Nomination Form Norwell Chamber of Commerce

2010 Annual Business Awards

Please nominate one or more Norwell Chamber of Commerce businesses in each category.  You are permitted to nominate your own business. Businesses that have already been awarded Business of the Year in the last five years are not eligible.  These businesses are: Marsh’s Liquor, Image Resolutions, South Shore Natural Science Center, Bejjing House and TRB Design, Inc.

Please complete and return this form and statement by email to norwellchamber@gmail.com or mail to NCC, PO Box 322, Norwell, MA  02061. In addition to filling in the nomination form, please submit a brief statement  (no more than one page double spaced) to support your belief that the nominee deserves to be recognized in the award category you selected. All nominations must be received no later than July 31, 2010.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Award This award recognizes a newer business that provides a valuable service or an innovative product.  The business should be no more than five years old, or be one that has undergone a significant shift in focus within that period of time.  The business should show the ability to become established while facing the challenges that face a start up business in today’s economy.

Community Support Award This award recognizes a business that has demonstrated civic and community service beyond normal responsibilities, creating a lasting and beneficial impact for all residents. The business should be one that sets an example for commitment to public service, while maintaining a strong business image.

A selection committee will review all applications and select award recipients in each category.  Recipients will be acknowledged in media venues, and must also be willing to participate in interviews and photo sessions.  Awards will be presented at the annual meeting of the Norwell Chamber in September of 2010.
