The event will be held at their new location at 9 Grove Street, Norwell on Monday, March 22 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Come network and try their delicious North End style Pizza. This event is open to all Chamber members. The cost is free for members and $10 for non-members. Cash bar will be available.

Candidate’s Night

Each year prior to town elections, the Norwell Chamber of Commerce sponsors Candidates’ Night where candidates for public office speak to citizens about their candidacy and relevant issues affecting the town.
Even when there are only a few contested offices, this tradition has allowed voters to find out where candidates stand on issues important to them and to the town.

At Candidates’ Night the following time guidelines for candidates’ statements will be followed:

Uncontested offices: Opening Statement – 3 minutes; Questions – 1-2 minutes, subject material allowing.

Contested offices: Opening Statement – 4 minutes; Questions: 2-3 minutes, subject material allowing.

The order of presentation will be alphabetically by office.

Questions will be taken from the audience after all candidates have delivered prepared statements. The Norwell Chamber of Commerce has been invited to hold a Business After Hours event at The Norwell Visiting Nurses Association, 91 Longwater Circle on Thursday, Feburary 18, 5:30 to 7:00.

Lori Mahoney, BSN, RN-BC, CDE and Laurie Galvin, COS-C, PT of NVNA and Hospice will speak to Norwell Chamber members at the February 18 meeting to discuss their latest program, “Get Up and Move”. This program focuses on the importance of exercise and physical activity in maintaining and improving physical strength and decreasing the risk of falls. Funded in part by a Title IIID Grant of the Older Americans Act through South Shore Elder Services, Inc., this program was designed by NVNA and Hospice to help seniors learn and understand how healthy life choices can help manage and prevent diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, breast and colon cancer, and osteoporosis.

Light refreshments will be served. Event is free to Norwell, Hanover, Pembroke Chamber members; non-members $10.

There is a $25 fee for each bowler. The fee includes bowling, shoes, beer & wine, upscale appetizers, and homemade pizza. If you just want to watch and eat and drink, it is only $10.

This is a wonderful fundraiser for our chamber: 50% of the proceeds go to the charity of choice for the winning chamber and 50% go to the Hanover Chamber for our charitable activities.
