Greetings from The beautiful “Gold Coast” of Queensland Australia.
I just wanted to drop a quick email to respond to your choice of Kevin Finneran as “Citizen of the Year”… In 1960, 49 years ago I met and became friends with Kevin L Finneran. Over the past 49 years Kevin has been and still remains my closest and my “best friend”. Kevin has been as much a member of my family as have my own sister and brothers. In fact Kevin is the “godfather” of my oldest son who is about to turn 37 years old.
I would like to say to those people there tonight to celebrate his recognition as “Citizen of the Year” that you could not have chosen a better human being for the award.
Kevin has done more than anyone of you could possibly imagine to help or to support my family over the many years we have been friends. There are more than 10,000 miles between us and yet even after living here in Australia for the past 30 years, when I come “home” to Massachusetts and we see each other again…we carry on like the last time we’ve seen each other was a week ago!!!

This past Christmas my youngest son Andrew and his best mate travelled back to Massachusetts to spend a “White Christmas” with my family… When the two boys were on Cape Cod..Kevin and his wonderful wife Rita looked after the boys as if they were their own.

When Rita forwarded to me the link to see that The Chamber of Commerce had chosen Kevin as their “Citizen of the Year”..I forwarded the link to Andrew my son and his mate Hutch… Here is the reply from Hutch…

“After the VIP treatment we received when we were there I’m not surprised, he’s a bloody legend”…Hutch

If you could possibly read this at some time during your Dinner tonight I would be deeply grateful…
To Kevin, my very best friend and my “other brother”…I congratulate you and I honor you for a most well deserved honor!!! With all our love from “Down-Under”…Stoney, Cheryl, Roz, Robbie, Jamie, and Andrew Stone…
We love you mate!!! Congratulations….Bob Stone

If it is at all possible to read this at your dinner…I’d be eternally grateful
Thank you so very much… Bob Stone

Also if you could confirm that you have received this message and that you might be able to read this at your dinner …please drop a quick reply to my email address as follows… stoneys22@usa.net

    Thank you ever so much
    Stoney
